Predictors of Individuals' Behavioral Characteristics of Routine Activities Theory: Analysis of a Synthesis Model of Socio-Economic Status, Victimization, and Fear of Crime

Researchers have studied victimization, fear of crime, and individuals’ behavioral characteristics to investigate the origin crime such as routine activity theory. However, little research has examined how were formed in Although elements socioeconomic status, victimization experience, are believed cause differences human behaviors, current study attempts examine which predictors construct behavior like theory, including target suitability guardianship. Using most recent, nationally collected official data from South Korea (Korean Crime Victimization Survey, 2014), analyzed variables with statistical models. The results suggest following:(1) an individual’s status – gender, age, education level rather than experience or significant suitability;(2) higher levels predict guardianship; (3) did not either
